Welcome to Apex Trophies & Engraving!
We are a NZ family owned business, and have been up and running in Forrest Hill, North Shore since 1981. We started off as a small engraving shop, slowly expanding to 3 shops on our block. We have since expanded to E-Commerce, allowing people to access our services nationwide!
We have specialist trained engravers with plenty of experience on site. We strive to output the best work every time, we enjoy the creativity and practicality in our craft.
With our latest tech machines, and 40 years experience in the industry, we can help you. From a single bespoke item to a number of economical awards, we’ve got what you need.

HOPE
STORE MANAGER
The award that has always caught my eye are the Koru Glass trophies. The traditional aspects are unique and to me, they represent New Zealand. As a Manager of Apex, my job is to interact and provide excellent service to our customers, and to make sure that I can offer products tailored according to their needs. The best part about my job is to see our customers’ smiles when receiving their order just as how they’ve imagined it to be.
Outside of work I’m either at home, snuggling in the sofa and watching Netflix, cooking homemade meals for myself and my family, or outside walking at the park and meeting up with friends. Ask me what the last movie I watched was!
JOSEPH
SENIOR ENGRAVER
I love it when a big trophy comes together like this and seeing the smiles of people holding it up. I enjoy all competitive stuff and seeing how intricate machine and software functions work! As the senior engraver at Apex, I have had lots of experience using all the machines here and love to see the technology develop.
In my spare time, I do 2D/3D modelling and gaming and a bit of sightseeing & hikes. Ask me what my current favourite game is!
JESS
INTERMEDIATE ENGRAVER
Hi, I’m Jessica, but you can call me Jess. I chose one of our two tone custom Coffee Mugs, as I love a cup of tea any time of the day, and these mugs are a great way to display a favourite image. I am an engraver at Apex Trophies, and enjoy problem solving, designing customer’s layouts, as well as working with the various engraving technology. In my free time, I occasionally work on freelance graphic design projects, and creating props from my favourite video games for fun. Ask me about my crazy fur ball cat, Zila!
KIM
INTERMEDIATE ENGRAVER
I always liked the Grand Trophy Cup, it has a simple design and looks like an angel trophy, easy to hold and can be engraved in multiple ways, such as diamond engraved on the cup or base plate or heatpressed in colour. I enjoy assisting with engraving because it’s always amazed me how all designed awards and names come to life on the trophies.
For time off, I always go for long walks in nature and love drinking green tea. Ask me about my biggest hike!
